The Public Horse was founded by Marissa Gough, who first envisioned the idea while sitting on the beach in January of 2020. As the owner of a horse boarding and training business, she was looking for a creative side venture that offered both flexibility and something uniquely her own.
When the world shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic, that idea became reality. Marissa and her father turned the concept into a hands-on project, transforming a horse trailer into a beautifully crafted mobile bar. What began as a passion project quickly took shape during a time when connection and creativity mattered most.
As gatherings moved outdoors, The Public Horse naturally found its place—bringing character, warmth, and a distinctive experience to weddings, celebrations, and events of all kinds. Today, it stands as both a reflection of its roots and a memorable addition to any occasion.
